In "After the raid" we observe a steady stream of large aircrafts without knowing its destination or purpose. A helicopter is positioned hoovering over the landscape - a sense of surveillance is strongly present and also alludes to the medial narrative. This video is also referring to political art, such as the norwegian artist Per Kleiva´s media-based images from the Vietnam War «American butterflies»( 1971) , or the german video artist Julian Rosenfeldt complex interweaving of several dimensions of reality as in the installation "Asylum"(2004).Taranger takes deriving from the media and the daily news. Interfering into her own footage, she indicates how different angles can distort the truth and can provide both true and distorted impression of reality.
